Astronomia

The Physics and Electronics Department of the college started an Astronomy club 'Astronomia'.

Objectives

The main objective of the club is to share varied interests and collective knowledge and passion and to keep all members updated about the latest happenings and news in the field of Space and Astronomy. Students actively participate in group discussions and debates and star parties which aim to widen their knowledge about the field. Although the club is mainly for students for whom Astronomy is a hobby, it also encourages any interest shown by students to take it up as a career option; also to gain a personal appreciation of the beauty of the universe through actual physical observation of the sky.

The club has also opened its own Facebook page where members can interact with each other, sharing articles from around the web, planning meetings of the club and discussing topics that interest them.

Synopsis of 1st  meeting
