    The Department of Management Studies, Bhavan’s Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities & Commerce, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, organized a Management Meet- ‘MEDHA’ on the 29th of November, 2011 on the theme: ‘Unleashing rural potential in India’. The theme for MEDHA-2011 focuses on how organizations across varied industry verticals are gearing up to unleash and address the huge potential demand from rural markets in India. The chief guest for the inaugural session was Mr.S.Siva kumar, CEO, ITC-Agri-Business Division. The chief guest for the valedictory session was Prof.K.Kalidas, Chairman, BOS, Department of Business Management, Osmania University. Other dignitaries present at the function were Air Commodore N.D.N.Bhaskara Rao, VSM, Honorary Secretary, Dr.Y.Ashok, Principal, Dr.P.Uma, Vice principal, and Dr.N.S.Chakravarthy, Head of the Department of Management Studies. Formal events conducted during the Meet were Paper presentations, Business Quiz, Smart Manager, Finance, HR and Marketing games and informal events included  Ghoomo Hyderabad, Mixwood-Tolly Bolly, Tit tat, Brick-O-Mania and Chakravyuh. Around 600 students from 40 colleges participated in the mega event.

    The Department of Management Studies, Bhavan’s Vivekananda College of Science, Humanities and Commerce, Sainikpuri, Secunderabad, celebrated ‘Management Day’ on 11.11.2011 to commemorate the commencement of the course nine years ago. The Chief Guest of the programme was Prof. V. Shekhar, Principal, Osmania University College of Commerce and Business Management, Hyderabad. On this occasion, Prof V. Shekhar was felicitated on being conferred the  ‘Best Teacher’ Award for 2011 by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
    Air Commodore N.D.N. Bhaskara Rao, VSM, Honorary Secretary, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Sainikpuri Kendra, and the principal of the college Dr. Y. Ashok,  Vice Principal Dr. P. Uma   and Head of the Department Dr. N. S. Chakravarthy  congratulated the students on getting enrolled in the MBA and BBA programmes of the Department.  As part of the celebrations, the Department conducted various programmes for students such as micro-presentations, Business Quiz and Treasure Hunt.
