Yuvamahotsav is an annual mega event celebrated at Bhavans Vivekananda College,Sainikpuri,Secunderabad,to commemorate the birthday of Kulapati K.M Munshi, the founder of BharatiyaVidyaBhavan. Under his able guidance and inspiration BharathiyaVidyaBhavan has grown into a great educational and cultural movement with its 119 kendras spread all over India and abroad.
Yuvamahotsav ushers in a healthy break from academics, a moment to step out of class rooms and to spread the atmosphere of celebration and festivity all through  the campus. Today everyone was dressed in their best, boys in casual wear and girls flaunting their long flowing gowns
This year Yuvamahotsav was a week-long celebration with lot of competitions lined up from December 27th to December 30, 2017. Yuvamahotsav is one of the most sought after event whereBhavanites get a great opportunity to showcase their talent and win prizes and accolades.
Day 1 (December 27, 2017)
The events held on this day were making New Year greeting cards, men’s jewelleryand tattoo making. Exquisite greeting cards of all sizes and shapes, creatively crafted men’s jewellery and tattoos were on display. There was an enthusiastic participation by students for all the events.
Day 2 (December 28, 2017)
The events lined up for the second day were Anthakshari, hair styling (both boys and girls), Vegetable carving and Wool art. The second day witnessed an over whelming crowd of participation as well as audience. Underthe  hair styling event boys displayed their funky hairstyles and spikes whereas girls  looked  stunning   in their  french knots  and elaborate accessories. The vegetable carvings and wool art events displayed lot of creativity and aesthetic sense.
Day 3 (December 29, 2017)
The events held were solo singing (classical)Mehendi,Rangoli, and Bhavans chef. The third day also was marked by huge  participation from students. They were around 200 participants for Bhavans chef. The theme was flameless cooking.The participants of Rangoli and Mehendi were at their creative bestand received lot of appreciation from the judges and the faculty.

Day 4 (December 30, 2017)
Today , being the birthday  of Kulapati K.M Munshi, rich tributes were paid for his contribution and work. Air Cmde JLN Sastry , Vice Chairman , BhartiyaVidyaBhavan  graced the inaugural function as chief guest. B. Niraimathi , Vice Principal , Xpressionz Coordinator , Dr C Kameswarilighted the lamp along with other dignitaries at the dais. Bhavanites  enacted a skit based on KM Munshi and his series of  writings –The Krishna Avatara.
Celebrations reached their crescendo on the final day. The day was full of music and dance The whole college reverberated with all kinds of music, classical, instrumental and  light music . The day also saw beautiful rendition of classical , folk , western and  fusiondance . The group dances set the stage on fire as the student audience cheered and grooved to the fast numbers
This year the volume of participation and the quality of display was enormous . The multifarious talent exhibited by Bhavanites was simply astounding . The whole college was on a celebration mode . It was agreat day that involved an ambience of, celebration,  festivity,  bonding and team spirit. A wonderful way of bidding the year 2017 Adieu and  towelcome the New year.
The Program concluded with the Prize distribution ceremony .
